• Deschutes River Boaters pass -- get it on line at www.boaterpass.com
• Warmsprings Indian Reservation permit when fishing reservation water

Equipment and supplies

• Rod, reel and line
• Trout leader -- 4x to 6x tapered leaders and tippet
• Steelhead leader -- 1x to 0/1x tapered leaders and tippet (8lb. to 15lb. test)
• Flies -- see recommend flies CLICK
• Fly floatant
• Lead shot verity pack and or twist on lead
• Strike indicators
• Clipper with nail knot toll hook eye cleaner
• Wading staff -- very helpful
• Head lamp or flashlight

Clothes

• Proper clothing for the season
• Gloves when its cold
• Fishing vest
• Chest wades with felt soled boots -- a must on most trips
• Polarized sunglasses -- a real + for spotting fish
• Rain gear -- always go to have on hand
• Sun screen -- a very necessary item in the summer
• Hat for sun protection
• Extra clothing in case you get wet
